Thalassotherapy uses warm sea water to purify your skin. To heal and soothe your skin. For some skin problems like eczema, bathing in sea water helps improve your skin's condition. Of all these, the water from the dead sea in Israel is the most effective. The concentration of minerals in the dead sea is 10 times more than in normal sea water. Bathing in the dead sea helps with psoriasis.

Some spas used water from the dead sea, or at least mix dead sea salts into the water they use in their Thalassotherapy treatments. The water used is warm. Body temperature. To soothe aches and pains. To heal, detox and nourish your skin.

Other places use natural water that gushes from deep within the earth. These spring waters are rich in minerals. Reknown even from the ancient times, for their healing properties. These are often used in spas too, for health and beauty treatments.

How to do your own water therapy

You need a shower for this. Better still if you have a bath tub.

Hot and cold water

Start off in the shower with water that comfortably hot.

Bath tub

Fill your bath tub with comfortably warm water. If you have dead sea salts, add 2kg of it for a very therapeutic bath, and soak in it for 10 to 20 minutes.

If you don't have dead sea salt, just use a large handful of sea salt in your bath water.

If you can't find any sea salt, then an epson bath salt will do

If you can't find that either, how about a few drops of lavender essential or rose otto essential, or even mandarin essential oil

Don't have that either? Just throw in a handful of rose petals or jasmine flowers.

Don't have flowers? Then pour in a cup of fresh milk for a milk bath instead.

Whatever the case, just relax in your bath tub to destress. If you have a detachable shower, use that under water to massage your body, like the jet streams in a jacuzzi.

Enjoy!
