Breathe to reduce stress
Simple ways to relieve stress include breathing deeply. When you get stressed up, your breathing becomes faster and more shallow. Take a break. Inhale deeply, slowly. Exhale slowly. Do this over and over again for a couple of minutes. It helps you relax.Better yet, go take a walk in the park. Admire the scenary. Take long, slow deep breaths of the fresh air in the park.
One way I'd destress would be to by armfuls of beautifully fragrant roses and place them in vases all around my home. The sight and fragrance of those flowers alone would be enough to make my day.
If that sounds too indulgent, consider diffusing essential oils in your home. Pick your favourite oils and fill your home with the fragrance.

Destress your body by working your feet
At home, you could pamper your feet.- Fill a basin large enough for your feet, with warm water.
- Add 4 drops of lavender essential oil and 2 drops of geranium essential oil in the water
- Wash your feet first and scrub them with a nail brush. Rinse them well
- Place the basin at the foot of a comfortable chair, on top of a rag to prevent wetting the floor.
- Sit on the chair and soak your feet in the basin of fragrant water as long as you like. Read a book, relax, listen to music, whatever.
- When you've had enough, pat dry your feet with a warm towel.
- Make a fist and stroke the soles of your feet with your knuckles, from the base of the toes to your heels. At least 20 times for each foot.
- With your thumb and index fingers, hold the webbed part between the toes and massage that gently.
