Joint Pain Relief

Joint pain due to injuries like sprains
For the immediate treatment upon injury, think RICE.
  • Rest -- Rest the injury. Try not to use the affected joint if you can.
  • Ice -- Put an ice pack over the injury to reduce swelling right after the injury.
  • Compression -- Bandage the joint firmly
  • Elevation -- Raise the join above your heart level to reduce the pain and swelling
Once your joint feels better, move it around to prevent stiffness but do not put any weight on it.
Note, if the injured part looks deformed, it could have been dislocated or a bone could have been fractured. If you suspect any of these problems, see a doctor right away.

If fever accompanies Joint pain, you probably have an infection. See a doctor right away.

Arthritis Pain Relief

Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body"s healthy tissues. The resulting inflammation leads to pain, swelling and stiffness. Rheumatoid Arthritis is typically a progressive disease that can destroy the joints.

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative arthritis as it involves the breakdown of the cartilage of the joints. This cartilage cushions the bones. Over the years, wear and tear leads to inflammation and the pain and swelling associated with arthritis.

Joint Pain And Inflammation

Arthritis is basically inflammation of the joints. One way to soothe the symptoms of arthritis is to tackle inflammation.
Time Magazine has an article entitled The Secret Killer. It links inflammation with heart attacks, cancer, alzheimer"s disease. Looks like arthritis isn"t the only disease related to inflammation.

Isn"t it shocking. Inflammation is how our bodies fight of invading microbes that would otherwise cause disease. Now this immunity system turns against body tissue and causes disease.

Apparently this backlash is related to western diets high in sugar and saturated fat. Add that to a sedentary lifestyle in front of the TV or computer with little exercise and we have immune systems that go haywire.

Here"s an interesting article about that hidden threat.

Joint Rx™

Joint-Rx™ is the most comprehensive product on the market developed for arthritis, joint pain, anti-inflammatory effects, and joint structure.

Joint-Rx was developed for those millions of Americans who suffer from pain, swelling and heat in their joints. Are you stiff when you move? Do your joints grind when they move? If so, you have joined thousands of other arthritis suffers. Hi- Tech has introduced a new defense series to help those seeking joint support and muscle pain management. Joint-Rx™ is for anyone who experiences muscle pain or joint discomfort due to a lifetime of overexertion. Joint-Rx™ was created as a safe and natural combination that can help you stay active and alleviate joint pain and damage.

Luckily, current research suggests that the biochemical process contributing to supporting cartilage and joint function can be reversed. The major goal in the research and development of Joint-Rx™ was to improve the repair process of collagen and regeneration of the connective tissue cells. Joint-Rx™ has been shown to stimulate the production of collagen, which is the protein portion of fibrous material that holds joints together. Joint-Rx™ also stimulates cartilage production, repairs damaged joints, and maintains the resiliency in both cartilage and joints.

In one of the more recent clinic trials done on the components in Joint-Rx™, 252 patients took this amazing compound and showed significant improvement in joint mobility versus those on placebo. You may have tried other joint products in the past, but Joint-Rx™ is unlike any other “joint aid” on the market. In fact, some current therapies have been shown to cause the problem to worsen. For example, the side effects of Aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents (NSAID’s) are well know. They range from gastrointestinal upset to ulceration. They also inhibit the synthesis of cartilage while, simultaneously accelerating its destruction.

Relieve pain and get back to a normal active lifestyle with Joint-Rx™!

Joint MD

New doctor formulated Joint MD™ works up to 300 percent faster than even maximum-strength doses of glucosamine alone, and its key ingredient is clinically proven to improve joint function and restore flexibility in as little as two weeks! A clinical study showed that the key ingredients in Joint MD significantly improved the ability of subjects to perform daily activities and decreae joint stiffness and in as little as two weeks. General research on glucosamine shows glucosamine alone typically takes up to 6 weeks to show joint improvement.

When your body is under stress or injured, it produces substances that trigger inflammation, as a self defense mechanism. There are two main pathways that may be used to trigger inflammation. The 5-LOX pathway and the Cyclo pathway. Most drugs address the 5-LOX pathway. There is a new supplement extracted from the New Zealand green lipped mussel, that blocks the 5-LOX pathway. It contains omega 3 in a form that is very effective in blocking the 5-LOX pathway responsible for inflammation. Well worth a try if you are suffering from joint pain. That supplement is omega daily

Another supplement used to treat arthritis, or rather, osteoarthritis is glucosamine. As osteoarthritis is about the reduction of cartilage between the bones, glucosamine, from which the body may derive glycosaminoglycans, and glycosaminoglycans, the building blocks of cartilage, should ease the problem with osteoarthritis. By giving the body what it needs to build more cartilage, it should be able to help osteoarthritis sufferers to some extent.

Medline plus has a write up on glucosamine"s effectiveness.
