Would you use herbs to prevent cancer? To treat cancer?

First of all, if you have cancer, you must seek help from a medical doctor IMMEDIATELY. Go to your family doctor, or to the hospital for help. You stand a far better chance of recovery if your cancer is treated in its early stages.

DO NOT delay treatment or surgery. Do NOT attempt to treat your cancer with herbs you read about in health books or from the internet. You could die of a misprint, or typing error.

That said, the right herbs, fruit and vegetable are helpful in the fight against cancer.

Prevent Cancer

Prevention is better than cure. Some herbs, fruit and vegetables help prevent cancer. Grapes, Soy, broccoli and Dong Quai are among the many cancer preventing herbs, fruit and vegetables. Interestingly, Dong Quai is one of the ingredients in a breast enhancement formula which I just started taking. It contains a number of herbs that women should take for the health.. and I could use bigger breasts

Some herbs can also be used to prevent cancer from recurring, once the tumor is gone and the conventional treatment is completed successfully.

Pueraria mirifica anti breast cancer herbs

Immunity boosting

When your immunity is weakened, cancer grows and spreads faster. Herbs can be used to boost your immunity. Also, when you undergo chemotherapy and conventional cancer treatments, normal cells get killed along with cancer cells. Herbs can be used to boost your body's defences.

Treating cancer with herbs

Before conventional medicine, ancient egyptians, even the native americans, or red indian population have used herbs to treat cancer. There are remedies like Essiac tea that are said to treat cancer. There was Hildegard, who developed a violet salve to treat external cancers.

Way back in 1865, Dr John Skelton, the father of Eclecticism published a book on cancer, called Practice. Back then Eclectic doctors were the cancer doctors, trained in medicine, the way conventional doctors were, but who used herbs. They were able to cure some of the patients conventional doctors had given up on.

Then again, there were the scams that touted cancer cures which were useless, or which ended up killing the patient.
